August 17, 2020

International software award program announces Bonfire Interactive as a finalist for the “Best SaaS for Nonprofits or Education” category

(KITCHENER, ONTARIO, August 17, 2020) – Bonfire Interactive Ltd. (“Bonfire”), a subsidiary of GTY Technology Holdings Inc., today announced it has been named a finalist for the 2020 SaaS Awards Program in the category “Best SaaS for Nonprofits or Education.” Bonfire was recognized for its innovative Strategic Sourcing Platform, which has been especially critical in bringing government agencies’ procurement teams online during COVID-19.

Now in its fifth year of celebrating software innovation, the Software-as-a-Service Awards program accepts entries worldwide, including the US, Canada, Australasia, EMEA, and the UK.

Categories for the 2020 awards include Best Data-Driven SaaS Product and Best Enterprise-Level SaaS Product, alongside new categories for Digital Marketing, Healthcare, and Conferencing.

“Software-as-a-service’s force for positive disruption never seems to abate, with seemingly unending solutions for modern business,” said James Williams, head of operations for the SaaS Awards. “This year is of course a special case, with SaaS not only at the forefront of remodeling existing business processes, but also agilely responding with pioneering solutions to unavoidable global disruptions.”

To recognize how SaaS has provided new and innovative ways for organizations to navigate the current landscape, the entry fees from the awards’ shortlisted entrants have been donated to the “Communication, Collaboration and Conferencing” category of the WHO’s COVID-19 Response Fund.

“We’ve seen firsthand how critical public procurement teams are in times of crisis, especially while transitioning to a remote working environment,” said Corry Flatt, CEO of Bonfire. “In the midst of COVID-19, we launched new product features to enable organizations to more effectively source and manage current procurement projects, while also sourcing equipment and materials that address public health and safety. We’re honored that the SaaS Awards have recognized our efforts in helping government agencies rise to the unprecedented challenge of this global pandemic.”

Final SaaS Awards winners will be announced on Tuesday, August 25 and the program will return in Spring 2021. To view the full shortlist, please visit:
